TrackBack Your Way to the Top -- Blog Marketing
By: IC
Promoting a blog is quite different from promoting a static website, the differences often benefit the blog owner because this publishing platform offers a lot more options when it is compared to traditional content management system or a manually updated page. TrackBack's are considered by many the ultimate one-way link, these are created when you post a comment on your blog in regards to another, the blogger who created the original post will receive what is called a TrackBack, if it is accepted the blogger who blogged about the original blog will get a reciprocal link otherwise original site will only get a one-way link.
Creating quality blog of posts is a key towards a successful link building campaign when it comes to this type of content management system, when a quality post is created other bloggers who syndicate the RSS feed will start to provide TrackBack's which can be accepted as either a one-way link or a reciprocal.
According to your search engine marketing strategy you can accept the one-way link or just create a reciprocal among sites which are relevant to each other, just keep in mind that reciprocal links have been devaluated by Google and are not very likely to count as much as a one-way link.
Installing a spam filter or comment moderation plug-in will help you sort the quality track backs from just noise or spam, remember that many RSS feeds are just scraped from sites and very likely from your blog in order to create what are called splogs. The intention behind splogs creation is to monetize the site via an adsense platform while automating the syndication process, this is what you need to change the settings of your RSS feeds to provide just a summary instead of providing the entire continent.
This blog marketing strategy is one that you must execute while being very precocious because of the fact that many spammers will take advantage track backs in order to build back links, if you send a ping back nature to actually be linking to the site you are sending the ping back to, otherwise your site will be just blacklisted from these blogs.

Create Blogs: Make money from writing

What's the perfect job? How about a job where you are your own boss, you set your own hours, work right from home, never have to deal with unreasonable deadlines and get to do something you love doing? Sound good? Well that's the job description of a blogger. That, however, is the not the whole story! There are very, very few bloggers who have nothing else to do but work on their blog and even fewer who have a blog that provides a decent source of income so blogging is, for most, a second or even a third "job."
There are two basic types of bloggers, the casual blogger and the serious blogger.
The casual blogger may have a basically well balanced life and a blog that is primarily a hobby. The casual blogger will start writing a post, work at it for awhile and then stop to get some other things done until he or she feels like writing again. continue reading
